Woodward's Spring Clean Up
Wednesday, April 22, 2026
Visit Woodward is excited to host the 2nd Annual Woodward Spring Clean-Up Day on April 22, 2026, in celebration of Earth Day and as part of the Greatest American Clean-Up initiative. This community-wide event invites individuals, families, and organizations to join in a collective effort to clean up public spaces throughout the town, helping to make Woodward a cleaner, greener place to live, work, and visit.
The City of Woodward is proud to be an affiliate of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful, and thanks to their generous support, they will provide this event with safety vests, gloves, and trash bags for the volunteers. Additionally, Visit Woodward will be providing water, sunscreen, lip balm, and hand sanitizer to ensure volunteers stay hydrated and protected during the clean-up.
Volunteers are invited to meet at the Downtown Business Center between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM to sign in and receive their supplies. The clean-up will take place across town, and participants are welcome to clean any public property or obtain landowner permission for private areas.
All completed trash bags can be returned to the Downtown Business Center after the clean-up for proper disposal, between 3:00PM and 6:00 PM. The goal is to make Woodward shine while fostering a sense of community pride and responsibility.
How You Can Help:
- Volunteer: Whether as an individual or as part of a group, everyone is welcome to join the clean-up effort. Sign up by showing up at the Downtown Business Center on Wednesday, April 22.
- Pick a Spot: If you have a specific area in mind that needs attention, feel free to focus your efforts there, as long as it's a public space or you’ve received permission from the landowner.
- Share the Word: Spread the word to friends, family, and colleagues to get more people involved.
Items that will not be collected during the Spring Clean-Up Day include, but not limited to: batteries, animal carcasses, paint of any type, metal, iron, steel, brick, rock, dirt, cement, chemicals, acid, cooking oil, bicycles, bed frames, furniture, fire extinguishers, helium tanks, propane bottles, oxygen tanks, air conditioners, refrigerators, hot water tanks, gas, weed eaters, mowers, motor oil, anti-freeze, automotive parts, and/or tires of any type.
