Municipal Court Judge, Careylyn Guthrie

 Careylyn Guthrie is a native to Northwest Oklahoma, being born and raised in Arnett, Oklahoma. After graduating from Arnett High School, Careylyn attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, wherein she obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology. Upon completion of her undergraduate work, Careylyn then attended the University of Tulsa College of Law and earned her Juris Doctor in 2002. While in law school, Careylyn volunteered for the Boesche Legal Clinic and did a summer abroad legal program in Dublin, Ireland. After working with another Northwest Oklahoma law firm, Careylyn opened a 5G Law Firm, PLLC in 2012, wherein she practices family law, juvenile law, criminal law, and general civil litigation. Careylyn serves as a secretary/treasurer of the Woodward County Bar Association and is admitted to practice in all Oklahoma state and federal courts.


Aaron R. Sims was born in Grand Junction, Colorado and raised in Woodward, Oklahoma. Mr. Sims returned to Woodward in 1998 and, in addition to maintaining a private law practice, has served as the City Attorney since his return. Mr. Sims received a bachelor of science from Oklahoma State University and a juris doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He also serves on several community organizations including the Woodward Education Foundation and the Northwest Domestic Crisis Services. Mr. Sims is a member of the Woodward County Bar Association and the Oklahoma Association of Municipal Attorneys and is admitted to practice in all Oklahoma state and federal courts.
